Immediately fol lowing the wedding, dinner was served to the bridal party and a few Intimate friends, Mr. and Mrs. Foote will reside in El Paso. Parties Master Robert M. Kelly entertained a number of his little friends at the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. F. P. Kelly, 596 Nevada street celebrat ing his first birthday anniversary. A dainty luncheon was served in the dining room, which -was prettily deco rated in red and white, the electric lights were covered with red shades. The table was especially attractive with red satin ribbon draped from the chandelier to the corners of the table. In the center was a large birthday cake holding one red candle. The color scheme was carried out in the ices, cakes and candies served. The little tots who enjoyed the afternoon were: Dorothy Mitchell. Willa Hatcher, Dorothy Freeman, Marjorie Wisda, John Stevens. Women's Organizations The art department of the Woman's club is holding their regular monthly meeting this afternoon in the assem bly hall of the Hotel Paso del Norte. School Notes Saturday evening the T. W. C A. girls of the Sunset division will entertain their friends with a party. Charch Affairs This design Is attractive, and the drese from which it was sketched dis played a new color. It is known as "grasshopper green," and Is the bright est spring green imaginable. Only a little of the color was used in the form of a satin -vsest ornamented with small gilt buttons and button holes. Inside the vest is a chemisette made of cream lace banding. It wae led by Mrs. H. F. Wright The program was opened with songs, and the devotional exercises were ftd by Mrs. J. F. Williams. The subject of the afternoon was "The Bap tist training school" of the Baptist de nomination. A map exercise on the cor related schools of Texas- and a descrip tion of the girls' school in Eel ton was given by Miss Lizsle HalL Mrs. H. E. Harris spoke on the women's training school of Louisville, Ky. Mrs. J. F. Williams told of the training school in China; Mrs E. F. Cummings, of the Chicago training school. Mrs. R. V. Pearson then sang a solo very pleas ingly, and the new school of training in Fort Worth was a very interesting subject, ably handled by IBss Harris, of Missouri. A vocal duet then followed by Mrs. E. M. Whltaker and Mrs. B. F. Cummings. The business meeting was conducted by Mrs. A. M. WalthalL Mrs. H. H. Bailey will entertain the Aid society of the First Congregational church, members of the church and friends of the church at her home, 333 West Missouri street on Friday even ing at 7 ocloek. Dainty souvenirs made of cardboard and representing Africa and each one giving a quotation from some mission ary to Africa, were presented to each one attending the meeting. Despite the rain, the meeting was well attended. Portraits of Livingston, Cox and Hood were shown. The recent trip of bishop W. E. Lambuth to darkest Africa was discussed, and interesting Incidents from, the life of professor John W. Gil bert of Paine college, who accom panied bishop Lambuth, were gfvjn. The Woman's Aid Society of Calvary Houston Square Baptist church held an interesting meeting on Tuesday after noon and there was a good attendance, in spite of the Inclement weather. The subject for the afternoon -was echoes from Dr. Wolfs lecture on Friday nfght and the special meeting at the Mexican church on Sunday. The first lesson of "The Bible Questions" was conducted by Mrs. W. Beck. The host esses for the afternoon -were Mesdames B. F. Hilburn. R. F. Harvey, F. A. Hodge and Charles Henning. The Asiatic Exclusion league, with head quarters here, has forwarded a letter to president Taft charging Chas.
