Will Manu facture Harrows Here. TO ERECT PLANT IN THIS CITY Will Be Located Corner of Fourth and Elm Streets —Growing Demand for the Product. Work was commenced today on the erection of a building at the corner of Fourth and Elm streets which will be used by the Talbert Bros, in the man ufacture of their patent disc cultiva tor. The United States government issued letters of patent to this Arm about two years ago and since that time they have been unable to supply the demand for this great farm imple ment. It is proving to be a great la bor saver to the farmer and the firm is constantly in receipt of orders for the invention. "The demand for the cultivators has increased at such a rapid rate, that we have been unable to fill the orders," said James Talbert, one of the firm this morning. "We have been manufactur ing the cultivators at our farm west of Walla the past year. For a time we were able to fill all orders received, but the demand has increased to sucft an extent, that we have, been forced to erect a factory in this city. We nave delivered a large number of' cultivators to the farmers of Walla Walla county and many others have placed orders with us to be delivered in the early spring. Our trade is not alone confined to this county, but we have; orders on file from all parts of Eastern Washington. Oregon and the farming section of northwestern Idaho. Our building at present will only be a temporary affair, as we expect in the near future to put in a complete piant! where we .can manufacture every piece of material that is needed in the manufacture of the cultivators. At present we will have all we can do to till the orders we have on hand and it will require steady work on our part to supply the demand." Beautiful dolls, large and small. Grant Wanted for Stealing HORSES FROM THE WELLMAN FARM Both Men Have Eluded the Officers and Are Still at Large—Where abouts Unknown. Charles Beard and Ed Grant are wanted by the authorities on a charge of horse stealing. About December 13, 13 head of horses were stolen from the farm of C. V. Wellman, near Clyde,' in this county. Suspicion rested on Beard and Grant and an information was filed against them in the superior court. A warrant was issued for their arrest and given to the sheriff's office to serve. Grant was reported to be in the country near Julietta, Idaho, last week, and Deputy Sheriff W. S. Rob bins of Latah county and Sheriff C. S. Painter of this county, spent about 36 hours looking for. him in that locality. It was believed that Grant was in hiding at a ranch about 10 miles up Little Potlatch creek, but a careful search by the officers failed to reveal his whereabouts. The house was searched but his wjfe claimed he had been gone for three days and stated that he was in the Colfax country. The officers were unable to gain any further information. . No trace of Beard has been found since the horses were stolen, and it is believed that he-has'gotten out of the country. This is the seeorfd bunch of horses that Mr. Wellman "has lost in the past two months. Deputy Sheriff Kees had an exciting chase in King county last month after the "men who took the first bunch, but they managed to es cape capture.
