On Thursday,' the first day of thr>
fair, there were sold at the gate 700
adult tickets, B6 children's tickets and
11 season tickets. Total gate receipts,
$222.05.
It is safe to estimate that fully 4,000
people were in attendance on this
year's fair on each of the main days—
Friday and Saturday.
On Friday, the second day of the
,'air, there were sold at the gate, 2,812
adult tickets, 439 children's tickets,
and S season tickets. Total gate re
ceipts, $775.10.
On Saturday, the third and last day
of the fair, there were 2,543 adult tick
ets and 570 children's tickets sold at
tbe gate. Total gate receipts, $721.75.
The grandstand receipts on Friday
were $168.86 and on Saturday they
amounted to $158.36, Showing that on
each of the days that the grandstand
was opened for an admission charge,
the attendance was about the same.
The grand total receipts for admis
sions on the three days amounted to
$1,718,90, and the total receipts at the
grandstand were $316.60, making .1
grand total of $3,036.60.
The gate receipts last year amount
ed to $1,186.0:'., $663.06 on Friday and
$634.87 on Saturday. The grand
stand receipts last year were $117.75
for Friday, and $169.20 for Saturday.
On Saturday of last year's fair the
grandstand was opened to admissions
both forenoon and afternoon, while
tliis year there was no admission in
Ihe forenoon. • The concessions this
year netted the association $580.00.
Last year they brought $10.1.
NOTICE OF LOCAL
OPTION ELECTION
NOTICE IS HEREHY GIVEN, that
an election will be held in Whatcom
County, State of Washington, in all
those portions of said county not in
cluded in any incorporated city or
town in said county, for the purpose of
voting on the question of whether or
not the sale of intoxicating liquors as
a beverage shall be licensed.
All persons voting at said election
and desiring that the sale of intoxicat
ing liquors as a beverage shall be li
censed in said district shall vote "for
license."
All persons voting at said election
who are opposed to licensing the sale
of intoxicating liquors as a beverage
in said district shall vote "against li
cense."
Said election will he on Tuesday, the
sth day of November, 1912, the same
being General Election Day, under the
laws of the State of Washington.
