Charles Cole, of near town, has pur

bridge building along with all possible
dispatch. The bridge at Elberton has
been completed. Work has been com
menced on those of this city and the
others will follow in their turn.
The fall planting of fruit treos prom
ises to be very large in the Palouse
country. Exhibitions in this line at the
late fair have proven to settlers beyond
a doubt that this is a great fruit corn
try. Every laud-owner should have an
orchard.

I'rivett ami O. G. Fehler have just re
turned from a fishing and hunting expe-1
dition of a few days in the mountains.
They bagged seven deer and gathered
in any amount of the finny tribe.
Miss Lelia Bowman while out riding
with a party of young folks at Tampa,
Monday evening, was thrown from the
vehicle by the breaking of the seat. The
hind wheel passing over her shoulder,
injuring her lungs. Bleeding ensii^,'<
