Grant has sold his stock of no tions to John Wagner and has gone to Montana, Mrs. Wolfgang Schmid went to New Ulm Saturday morning with her son, to have an operation performed on his eye. Mr. Chas. and Miss. S Berg, of Sleepy Eye, and Miss Ida Hellman, of New Ulm.cune up Wednesday evening to attend the wedding of Miss Nina Barber to Mr. John Lan, Jr. Miss D. Vaulb, who has been visiting with her sister, Mrs. H. DeVoice, has returned to her home near near Lam berton. Messrs. Velikanje & Manderfeld, and Wm. Julius came up from New Ulm Monday last, and commenced work on the German paper. Their office is situ ated in Jaehn's building on Marshall St. My boy met with a'serious accident by pulling a can of boiling water over on himself and scalding his face, hands, and arms dreadfully. Having 4 bottle of Salvation Oil in the house I applied it immediately to the parts scalded, (as per directions) and am glad to state that he is now well, and the wounds healed nicely without leaving a scar. Kioes, at Morgan Sunday night. The family of Chas. Kanzelbaet, west of town, lost four children bv diphtheria last week Two others of the family are down but hopes are entertained for their recovery. Miss Evelyn Frontman is visiting in the city. Mrs H. E. Ulm spent Tuesday at Evans, the guest of*Mrs. Geo. Knudson. Mrs. F. Wellcome, of Granite Falls, is the guest of Sleepy Eye relatives. The G. A.
