Robbers entered the store of the Gordonville Mercantile Co. at Gordon ville, sometime Friday night, and were successful in securing a considerable quantity of clothing, blankets, 'and overshoes, although they overlooked the money drawer completely while making their raid. The robbers evidently voncealed themselves in the company warehouse which adjoins the store building and after business had closed for the day, and the clerks had gone to their homes the burglars broke through the door leading from the wareroom into the store. They first attempted to cut a panel out of the door, but failing in that, secured an iron bar and pried the door open. ' , In addition to the dry goods and clothing that- were stolen, a quantity of apples and some candy and chew ing gum were also missing. A small amount of money that had been left in the cash drawer was not molested. In leaving the premises, the thieves unlocked the warehouse door from the inside, and fixed a prop so that when the loor was closed when they step ped outside, the prop would serve as a brace to hold it shut. This is the second robbery that has occurred in Gordonville within the past two weeks. About ten days ago, the Iron Mountain depot was robbed by thieves who effected entrance by pry ing the lock off a window. A large quantity'of goods that had been shipped to different business men in Gordonville was taken, but the cash drawer was ignored, and the few dol lars that had been left at closin? hours, remained undisturbed. When a Business Man Needs Money HE CAN TURN TO HIS LIFE INSURANCE POLICY AND QIICKLY OBTAIN CASH. He has no feeling of obligation as when he borrows from a bank, and his life insurance company is ready and glad to be of service. But Dn't mortcase your life insurance policy to buy yuto- mobile, or to buy any thine else. Don't do it unless you know you will go broke without that cash. When vou consider borrowing on your policy, remember, it isn't YOUR monev vou are taking. It Is your little children mortgaging their bread and butter. It. is your wife giving it by e doing days work for some other woman. Even if you do fai! in business, your creditors can nottake your !ife insurance money from you ot from your dear ones.
