Dr. Brannon came here from Okla homa about four years ago and had built up an. extensive practice, He was also identified with local poll tics, being very actively interested in Democracy, also served at one time as Mayor of this city, resign ing, and was appointed as a com missioner of Hayti Special Road Dis trict, which office he held at the time of his death. Jimmerson was a farmer and lived only a few miles in the country, hav ing moved there recently from this city, having at one time been in the feed business here. He has lived in the county many years, and be longs to a respectable family. Constant communication was held with the hospital officials at Mem phis and at first they held out slight hopes for his recovery, but he grew weaker, the end coming at 2:15 this afternoon. Later, Friday morning: His re mains will arrive here today at noon, the funeral services will be conduct ed at either the Methodist church, or on the campus of the Grammar School, the latter place which will afford his many friends to pay their last homage to their brother, a man and a gentleman to every degree. The funeral services will be held at 1:00 o'clock, and we are informed hat his body will be sent op the four o'clock train to Tulsa, Okla., homa for burial. A brother from that city is expected ot arrive at noon. His leaving will make a place In Hayti that will be hard to fill, and that jovial," smiling character that once greeted you on the streets and at every public place, will be miss ed for many years.
