The Missouri Herald is in receipt
of a card from the Bristow National
Bank of Bristow, Okla., showing its
financial statement and giving the
names of its officials. Among them
we are glad to note is Hugh P. Har
i)ert, assistant cashier. Hugh had
his first banking experience in Hayti
where he was raised and received
bis education, he being the son of
Mr. and Mrs. D. D. Harbert. The
assets of the bank is more than a
half million dollars, to be exact,
$509,833.93. Hugh's many friends
here will be glad to note his success,
which is considerable, he being a
new man in a new country.

PEMISCOT FARM
BUREAU NEWS
The county Farm Bureau, the
Southeast Missouri Agricultural Bu
reau and the Extension Forces of
Missouri met at Sikeston Juno 23
and worked out a program for the
activities of the organizations dur
ing the next ten years.
This program was made to meet
the needs of eight counties and, of
piurse, all of it will not appy to
each county. However, It sets forth
the work that we hope to accomplish
and the Farm Bureau invites the
farmers, together with all organiza
tions Interested in the farmers' wel
fare, to co-operate in putting thl3
program across.
We submit this program so that
the farmer3 may know more about
the things that the Farm Bureau is
trying to do for the farmers in this
section.
Suggested Program of Work for
Ten Years for Southeast Missouri
Scott, Stoddard, Cape Girardeau
Butler, Dunklin, Pemiscot , New
Madrid and Mississippi Counties:
ORGANIZATION.
1. Minimum of ten organized
communities per county.
2. Minimum of 800 Farm Bu
reau members per county.
3. County agent and business
agent for each county.
4. Home demonstration agent in
each county.
5 .Active co-operation with South
east Missouri Agricultural Bureau.
6. Junior Extension work (boys'
and girls' clubs.)
7. Active co-operation with pro
duction committees of chambers of
commerce and other similar organi
zations. S. Active co-operation with
school administrations.

There is a law on our statute
books against throwing glass on the
streets and highways. Has It ever
occurred or has an officer of the law
ever stopped to think when, there
is a collision of machines or an acci
dent and the glass windshields are
broken and scattered all over tthe
streets to the detriment of other mo
