Moe, returned Sunday to their home a tFargo. Mrs. Martin M. Eyerson returned Saturday from Fargo, where she has been for several weeks visiting rela tives and friends. Mr. and Mrs. Bob McGee have mov ed into their new cottage on Helena avenue, which they recently bought from B. Bonde. Mr. and Mrs. Fred Spiker have as their guest Mrs. August Durbin, from Arlington, Wash. Mrs. Durbin is a sister of Mr. Spiker, and she arrived here Sunday. Miss Julia Lee, the efficient book keeper and stenographer at the Times Record office, spent Monday in Fargo. Miss Gertrude McDonald assisted in the news department during the ab sence of Miss Lee. Mr. and Mrs. Ray Bassett returned to the city Monday morning from Cour tenay, where they visited over Sun day with Mrs. Bassett's brother, Dr. Livingstone. A. E. Rose left on No. 3 Monday morning for his home at Rapid City, S. D., after spending the past ten days visiting at the residence of I. N. Jobe. Harry Jacobson, of the general delivery window at the Valley City post office, has been absent from his duties for the past several days, owe ing to the illness of his little daughter. Mrs. W. H. Butler, of Cooperkstown, stopped in Valley City Monday on her way back from a visit in Minnesota and purchased a nice bill of goods from the Valley City Furniture Co. E. L. McGee and his daughter, Miss Ann McGee, returned home Saturday from Oriska, where they made a short visit, and accompanied E. H. McGee on his trip home from Sanborn. Bishop Tyler conducted communion services at the Episcopal church Sun day. His sermon was a splendid offer ing, and was much enjoyed by those who had the pleasure of hearing him. H. M. Velzy, traveling representative of the North Dakota Mutual Fire In surance company, spent Sunday in the city with his family. He left Monday morning for work in jthe southern part of the state. $ Carl Bonde, J. W. Thoreen's standby in the Main street harness emporium, is back from a visit to the Minnesota state fair. He says there were 90,000 people on the grounds one day and that the exhibits were something won derful. Owing to the inclement weather Sunday the band concert for the park in the afternoon was postponed. A final concert will probably be arranged for next Sunday afternoon, when an ex ceptionally good program will be ren dered. The Northwest Tribe in glad regalia, and in war paint, pink, and gay blank ets, and feathers, met at the home of Mrs. I. J. Moe, Saturday evening to prepare for the next annual pow-wow in November, and then a feast at mid night followed. Edwin Carr returned to his home at Jamestown Sunday evening, after spending 'several days in Valley City as a guest at the home of his aunt, Mrs. K. A. Bonhus. Edwin came down from Jamestown last Wednesday, and remained until the opening of school. He is the son of Mr. and. Mrs. John Carr, of Jamestown. Dr. E. P. Robertson, of Wesley Col lege, Grand Forks, was on over-Sun day visitor in Valley City at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Chas. E. Hunt, of the Sheyenne apartments. From here Dr. Robertson went on to Dickin son, leaving for that, place Monday morning on business connected with Wesley College.
