'J' LITCHFIELD GAME PROVED EXCITING Willmar Defeated Litchfield by a Score of 7 to 5 in Hot Com bat Sunday Willmar walloped the old rivals, Litchfield last Sunday by a score of 7 to 5 at the local grounds. The visit ors connected for twice as many hits as the home team. 'Litchfield made 10 hits, and Willmar 5. Six of the vis itor's hits were garnered in the last three frames, also the five runs were scored in^these frames. The local club tallied three times in the first inning, on three walks, a wild pitch and a single. Madson, who was on the mound for Litchfield, passed 5 men, while Johnson for Willmar al lowed one pass. Two more runs were brot across' in the 8th on a single and three errors. Litchfield slammed three two bag gers while Willmar failed to connect for any extra base hits. FIRST INNING Litchfield—Beise./sent a hot .one thru short for a single, stole second. Miller lifted one for pitcher to second for a safe hit. Beise was on third and Miller on second with no out. Ryan, Mortenson and A- Arneson fanned in succession. No. runs, 2 hits', no er rors. Willmar—Gleason walked. Hahn sacrificed, pitcher to first, Gleason go ing second. Benda was out, pitcher to first. Gleason going third., Kielty walked. Gleason scored on a wild pitch.
