GIRLS WRITE SALACIOUS LETTERS TO ST. JAMESITE Man Arrested Here For D*sorderiy Conduct Had Large Package Of Missives in Pocket. If certain New Ulm motheis knew the contents of letters written by their daughters to Sicol Jacobson of St. James, arrested here fcr oisorderly conduct, Thursday night, so*..e stren uous action mght result, according to Chief of Police Alvin Harmening, who found a package of moie than two dozen exceedingly salacioub missives in Jacobson's pockets, when the latter was searched at the police sta tion, following the arrest. It seems that the young women do not realize that they vjpuld be liable to an est and severe punishment under the United States postal lawb, should the federal authorities secure the tell-tale letters as evidence against them. Jacobson was arrested by Officer Ed. Wagner and escorted to the police station. As is customary under like circumstances, he was searched and in going through his pockets, Chief Har mening found the bundle of salacious missives, which certain young women of this city had written to him. They were returned to Jacobson upon his re lease from custody aftei paying a fine of $10 00 and $5.30 costs for dis orderly conduct imposed upon him by City Justice George Hogen, Friday morning. This affair should be a lesson to the guilty parties, to guard their pens more closely future, especially when writing to men. ESSIG AND VICINITY.
