GEORGE J. MALLORY, Representative from the Forty ninth district, sleeks a renomination on the Republican ticket. He respectfully solicits your support and your votes at the primaries on September 16. P. E. DOWLING, Of Eveleth, is a range candidate for member of the house of repre sentatives from the Forty-ninth dis trict, and invites the suffrage of Re publican voters. He believes the ranges are entitled^to a more equal share of political honors than has heretofore been accorded the north end of the district, because of the fact that our enormous iron a^d lumber interests so demand, and because with Hon. E. B. Hawkins in the Senate and P. E. Dowling in the House the iron ranged and their constantly increasing industries will receive justice. SHERIFF. JOHN A. HEALY, One of the pioneers of the range, who cast his lot with the Mesaba ahead of the railroad, announces himself a candidate for the Repub lican nomination for sheriff, and asks your support. His party fealty is a known quantity to his many friends, and his integrity and abil ity is unquestioned. He earnestly solicits your support at the primar ies, and if elected assures an able and honorable administration of the office. J. T. ARMSTEAD Is another who has always been a Republican, and one who, during his long-residence in St. Louis Co. has never before asked for political preferment at the hands of, his par ti7. He has announced his candi dacy for the office of sheriff, and so licits your support and votes at the primaries on September I6th. His record as a businessman in Duluth for many years may be accepted as an assurance that any official duties with which the voters may entrust him will be attended to in a becom ing and satisfactory manner. A conscientious, com petent man, he asks your support and your votes, assuring a right ad ministration of the affairs of the of fice if elected. COUNTY TREASURER. L. H. WHIPPLE Needs no introdudtion to the vot ers of St. Louis county. As present treasurer he has made an excellent official, courteous and obliging, and his past record fully warrants him in asking an endorsement at your hands at the primaries on Septem ber 16th. A vote for L. H. Whipple will mean a vote for the continua tion of past services, and will be a vote for the right man. W. A. HOLGATE W. A. Holgate is a candidate for the Republican nomination for county treasurer. Mr. Holgate has been a resident of Duluth for many years, coming to Duluth irt 1887, He has always been a public-spirited citizen, ever taking much interest and pride in the upbuilding of Du luth and St. Louis county. His rep utation as a business man is such that the people of St. Louis county have confidence that if he is nomi nated and elected to the office of county treasurer the business of that office will be conducted with faithfulness, integrity and ability. As a party man Mr. Holgate has always been active in promoting the interests of the Republican par ty, both national^ state and county. His faithfulness to the party has not been prompted by anjr?thought of office, having never b^fbre been a candidate for anything.!* is such faithfulness that the par£y should consider when men of .known abil ity are candidates for of&ce. His nomination, there is no doubt, will be for the best interests oilthe party and public. REGISTER OF DEED&. M. C. PALMERv Who lias filed for the Republican nomination for register of deeds, is justly entitled to the vote of every Republican in St. Louis county. MIDDLECOFF Former judge of probate again announces himself a candidate, sub ject to the will of the Republican primaries on September 16th.
