tertainment at Liberty Theater
last BJriday nighty to a crowded
house
The readings and musical num
bers preceding th playlet put on
at the last were very enjoyable
The playlet The Black Vamp
and the negro impersonators and
singers were applauded freely The
black face performers were Miss
Ora Wiseman Elmo Maize and

About 30 was added to the
Sunday School funds by the en
tertainment
W J Lough of Marionville
who recently bought the 270 acre
Beck farm was in Jasper last
week looking after his property

TUBERCULOSIS FATAL TO ROSCOE
PATTERSON
Roscoe Patterson eldest son of
ALPatterson and wife of Jasper
died at the Jasper County Tuber
culosis Hospital at Webb City last
Sunday morning at 1150
Mr Patterson began to feel the
effects of tuberculosis two or three
years ago but not until a few
months ago did he give up his
work being employed by tbePIatt

to the Jasper County institution
The funeral was held at the home

ment will bring sharp bidding Joe
Bird thinks he will have several
hundred White Leghorn baby
chicks in the sale which will give
bidders a chance to get their chicks
without hatching them

was a pleasant feature of the aft

after spending Sunday with G H
Kedmond and family the shaft of
the buggy dropped down on one
sidecramping thebuggy and throw
ing Mr Crow and little daughter
Naomi out Mr Crow received
a badly wrenched wrist The lit
tle girl received innumerable
scratches about the face and head
