Efforts to take it out proved unavailing and on the advice of their doctor the parents left the needle alone. Last Friday it came out and the girl feels no worse for her ex perience. The piece of carpet needle is j nearly an inch long and the Cales think it was left in the carpet by the manufacturer, as they never use such a needle about the house.
