House Burned.
A vacant house bf longing to

was burned about 11 :30 Thursday
night. The tire department
made a very quick run, but the
roof fell in just about the time
the boys arrived. Tho flames
were soon extinguished. The

Elmer Wilsie, of north of tow n
accompanied by two other boys,
went to Hallie's Bluff last Satur
day after pecans. They had a
goodliine until the rain storm
came up when they had to seek
shelter.
A little eight-year-old daughter
of a family that was camping
there pot lost during the storm.
Night came on and no trace of
the little one could be found.
The search was kept up all right
and not till 9 o'clock Sunday
morning she was found. Tracks
showed that the little pirl had
crossed over the bridpe twite
during the night and had wand
ered up and down the banks of
the river all night in the cold and
