Lev. McFarlane, who with hi

about a year apo, was arrested
in Auburn, Neb., Tuesday on
complaint of T. N. Uotkin, of
Foster, Ma., charging him with
selling mortgaged pronerty.
Just before McFarlane left f'-r

About a month after McFarlane

refused on the plea that be could
not raise the money. Botkin
took the cow from Dyer and re
ceived the price of the cow in
cash. He still kept trying to get
McFarlane to settle the matter
but got no delinite reply. In
fact every indication was that
McFarlane never intended to
settle the account.
For several months McFarlane
was i n Chicago conducting a
"Divine Healing Institute" ad
vertising to cure all kinds of dis
eases with prayer. Later he
went back to his family at Au
burn, Neb., where he was arrest
ed and brought to Pleasanton to
stand trial for selling mortgaged
property.
He could not give bond and
was taken to jail by Sheriff Ire
land to await the preliminary
which is set for Sept., ia Judge
