An Unfortunate Device. The story
is told of Mr. Jones, who, one evening

lashed in the taco, tied the tail of the
row he was milking very securely to hie
boot strap.
Everything went on smoothly for a
time, Mr. Jouea congratulated himself on

Presently, however, the cow took a no
tion to lash a fly that was biting her.
