ported that the Cope Kaolin projicrty is
deeply involved in trouble. A party with
an investigating turn of mind discovered
that the land upon which the mine was
located was State land, having never
been entered. So acting upon a due re
gard tor his own interests instead of
those of others, he proceeded to enter it,
and procured a state grant for the same.
He is now happy, says our informant
and the speculators are correspondingly
miserable. This is another proof ot the
old adage, "look before you leap."
