Some time since Mr. Arch McMilhin discovered that his cat was eatiu chick ens, and thought to lie rid ot him, a d Hot a negro to take him four milts in the country one afternoon, hut he was l;ick to breakfast next moraine. The chicken killing continued, and something had to be done. So, one morning about six weeks ago the cat was locked in a box-car loaded with rosin, which car went straight through to Portsmouth, Va. Imagine Mr. McMillan's surprise to see the eat back at home last Thursday at noon. It had traveled more than i.'4o miles, mid been six weeks on the road. Several neighbors, as well as the owner, identified it as the same cat sent away. The poor thing is hardly more than skin and bones. There is lio miracle in the fact that it walked L'-MI miles, but the mystery is. how it knew the direction. This is a tough story, but is nevertheless true. Suannnnoa Hotel. Unexcelled cuisine.
