Theophilus Sale died at his home on
Gash's creek, lix mile southeast of this
citv on vesterdav. hi 84th birthday. He
wa one ol the oldest men in Buncombe
county. His death occurred near the
place where he wns reared and bad lived
for a long time. He wa an honest, indus
trious turmer and wa much liked bv
large circle of acquaintance. Hi wife.
who survive him, is a daughter of Rob
inson freeman who lived in this county
