The fortieth annual session of the Central Illinois conference ended at Peoria last night. It proved the most notable conference in the his. tory of the organization in point of attendance, spiritual results, enthu siasm and interest, and in point of the nature of the business consid ered. It was notable from the fact that great issues were at stake great issues were discussed and voted upon. The matter of chang ing the make-up of the conference from seven districts to live was an important change, one that required long debate and consideration on account of the matters involved. The change affects all the conference and all ministers of the conference. The cenference is now composed of Kankakee, Peoria, Galcsburg, Nor mal and Rock Island districts, leav. logout Macomb and Streator dis tricts. H. D. Clark is still presiding elder of the Galesburg district, K. B. Will lams is appointed to the Kankakee district, M. V. Crumbakcr, of the Macomb district, is transferred to the Rock Island district; J. W. Haney. of the .Streator district, is transferred to the Normal district, and Ct O. Culloch is continued as presiding elder of the Peoria dis trict. Thomas Doney. of the old Normal district; is given the First church, Kankakee, and G. J. Lackey, of the Rock Island district, is made Sastor of the Onarga church, while . A. Head, so long presiding elder of the Ruck Island district, is trans ferred from Kankakee to the First church at Watseka.y... The Districts-Appointments.
