New Theatre Voting Contest Depart
MY CHOICE OF NAME FOR THE
new kx;k ISLAND THE
Columbia has been launched as a
name for Rock Islind's new theatre
in a manner that puts it in a good
lead in the race for the honor. The
first installment of rotes for this
name came in yesterday afternoon
too late for publication in the list of
that day, and this morning brought
another bunch for the same title.
A l'oetlc Suggestion.
Accompanying a new suggestion
which is offered today is a communi
cation setting forth that the people of
Kock Island havinsr taken so much in
terest in the theatre proposition as to
make it a reality it should be natred
the People's Pride, and hence these
lines are submitted:
Now that the project has so nobly won,
The proper naming must be done.
I think all would be justified
By christening It ths "People's Pride."
There have been several entirely
new names entered since yesterday,
and considerable voting on some of the
leading ones hitherto appearing.

SPRING TOP COATS
A Winter Overcoat now has an unpleasant look
about it, 'tis time to get out of stuffy clothes. Our
Spring Raglans are new and very swell, but the
popular coat is the Oxford Gray Vicuna Spring
Top Coat. They're as swell as can be, just
landed. There is some satisfaction in picking
from our New Assortment. They are perfection
in style, fit close around the neck, smooth across
the chest and shoulders and under the arms,
they're "simply right" would not be here if they
were not. Prices run along something like this:
