Moline April 25-27 presents many in.
teresting and attractive features.
Thursday evening there will be a
joint meeting with the Western Draw
ing Teachers' association at the xir6t
Congregational church, at which
Charles Zaeblin, professor of sociol
ogy of tbe University of Chicago, will
lecture on William Morris and His
Work." Friday morning, at the same
place, there will be papers by Henry
W. Thurston, of the Chicago Normal
school, and Kate Starr Kellogg, princi
pal of the Lewis-Cham plin school of
Chicago, with discussion by some of
the most prominent educators of the
James P. Munroe, of Boston, Mass.,
formerly of the Massachusetts School
of Technology, will give an address.
Saturday morning State Supt. Alfred
cayliss will talk on the "Centraliza
tion of Country Schools," and there
will be papers read by John M. Coul
ter, of Chicago university, and Prof.
J. C. Whitten, of the state agricul
tural college of Missouri.
The section meetings will be held at
the Moline High school, where the
subject of instruction in the different
branches will be presented by a num
ber of the best teachers in the north
ern part of the state. -
