TAKING EFFECT FTE3T OF JULY Shirtwaists Will Probably Be Adopted by Rock Island Carriers. The following information regard ing increases in salaries of clerks has been received at the Rock Island post cffice to take effect July 1. 1901: Wyman J. Beardsley.general utility clerk. $500 to f GOO; F. S Brougb, letter distributer, $000 to $1,000; Miss Anna Huesing, monev order and registry clerk. $1,100 to $1,200; D. F. Krell, mailing clerk. $900 to $1,000; Miss BUnche W. Rmskill, stamper. $600 to $700; Carl A. Sauerman. general util ity clerk. $600 to $700: one additional clerk, $500. The allowance of in creases and new clerk are in accord ance with the recommendations of Postmaster Thomas. The other clerks are Alonzo S. Bart, stamper. $500; De Forrest Don. general utility clerk. t500; El ward J Wagner, general utility clerk, $600; Ernest J. Wood, mailing clerk $700 Shirtwaists for Carriers. The shirtwaist was given oQicial recognition by the postofUce depart ment at Washington luesuay, wnen Postmaster General Smith signed the following order: Ordered.
