For some time past the purchasers were negotiating with -Mr. Murks for the securing of the lease hold, and the purchasing of the ma chinery in the plant.. This has been finally effected and includes the lease, machinery, stock of woods on hand and finished products in the shape of carvings, etc. The Hunker plant ad joins the street, ear barn on, the west und it will be connected with it at once. U., which was brought to a, close at the First Haptist church in Moline today, a county organization was formed and the following- officers elected: President Mrs. line. The county organization is intend ed to take the place in a large meas ure, if not entirely, of the districts, which now conform to the senatorial districts. The funeral was held from the home this afternoon with interment at Biverside. Nels McCall of -107 Eighth strce died Sunday after a brief illness. Hi was born at Mount Carroll, 111., Sept 11. Iti0, and came from Clinton to Davenport- in 1000. He only liv there several months when he moved with his father to this .city and went into the butcher business in the Pet ers Sr Day building on Third avenue and Second street, where he has been up to the time of his sickness. He leaves to mourn his death besides his wife and parents, two children and one sister in this city. The funeral was held from the home at 2:.'0 o'clock this afternoon. A City telegram received trom Kansas is to the effect that Richard Ol son, the Moline man who was mur derously assaulted by the negro Si u j ins on Friday night, is restin easy, but that he 'was not out of danger, by any means.
