With the heavy casualty list of the
Fourth of July celebration recently
passed as an object lesson the women's
clubs of northern New Jersey have al
ready taken up the crusade for a "safe
and sane" .holiday next year, says a
Montclalr (X. J.) dispatch.
The clubs started out this year to
suppress the noises of the Fourth of
July, but they found that they had
delayed too long the opening of the
campaign. From now on, however,
the presidents of the various clubs an
nounce, every effort will be made to
