erly a laborer living in I)avenport,
was possessed of several thousands of
dollars at the time of his death has
been learned by Dr. Paul Radenhausen,
administrator of his estate. Several
years have .been spent in settling up
the man's affairs. At the time of his
death it was supposed that there was
little, if anything left. Meinke was a
poor man when he came to Iiavenport
years aeo. He worked at day labor
for some time and later went west and
worked as a section hand. He was
very rc-ticent and never told even his
