ions stepped into a car and striking
a straightaway on Fifth avenue near
Thirtieth street, attempted to demon
strate Just how fast a car can go
when it la let out to the limit. Yelling
and waving their hands they shot
along, while pedestrians stood with
their mouths agape. Suddenly a
streak of gray shot out of a croes
street and la half a minute was along
side the speeding car, and the party
was under arrest. This morning

the Judge that, he was trying out the
Clutch and guessed he was guilty. He

SUHHEB SHM DISEASES
During the summer most persons are annoyed with pimples,, boils,
rashes, or eruptions, while others suffer more severely with Ec
zema, Acne. Tetter, Salt Rheum, or some kindred skin disease. A perfect
condition of the skin exists as long as the Mood is normal, but when it be
comes contar.iin.ited with humors and acids its supply of nutritive proper
ties is greatly lessened and it becomes a sharp, acrid fluid which diseases
instead of preserving the natural neaitn ana texture
of the skin. The eruptions may be glossed
over and inflammation reduced by the application
of washes, cosmetics, salves, etc., but no skin affec
tion can ever be permanently cured in this way;
only pure blood can make healthy skin. S. S. S.
cures Skin Diseases of every kind by neutralizing
the acids and removing the humors from the blood.
S. S. S. builds the circulation up to its normal
strength, increases its nutritive powers and adds to
its turitv in every way. Then the skin instead of
being irritated with acid humors and impuritiea, is nourished and healed
by a plentiful supply of rich, pure blood. Book on Skin Diseases and any
