tain in the Mocassin district, -Will Thomp
son and Orant Burrell fell out about the
ownership of some still tubs in possession of
the former, and fought with an ax, using tho
weapon alternately. Thompson's turn came
first and he threw the ax at Burrell, break
ing me Mirers mumo ana cutting a severe
gash in his left thigh just above the knee.
Burrell then seized the weapon with both
hands, and hurled it at his antagonist, who
had by this time turned to run, striking him
edi;e fore::iost in the back and severing three
or nig ribs, entered bis lungs. Burrell ran
a'ter tut victim with the dripping ax and
onc9 more sank it into his back. Thompson
died in a few minutes.

young players as possible and educate them

under the League banner, and many of them
will undoubtedly prove decided acquisitions
to our ranks. Injunction proceediug will be
instituted Tuesday at Philadelphia and Now
York simultaneously, and by the end of this
