BOOMERS TO BE OUSTED.
Troop. Moving; to Enforce the President's
Proclamation Settler Vacating;.
Fort Leavenworth, Kas., March 17.
The president's proclamation issued Satur
day warning the boomers that the C'herofce
outlet haa not been opened to settlers , and
ordering tbem to vacate, and the further
news thut the secretary of war had crdered
the troopa to see that the proclamation was
obeyrnl, has had a decide.ily dampening
effect on the ieople who were so quick to
move on the lands. Gen. Merritt has or
dered six tnxips of cavalry to proceed to the
Cherokee atrip and oust the boomers there.
Two troops of cavalry have been ordered
from each of the three towns o: Oklahoma
city, Kort Reno and Fort Supply to proceed
at once to Guthrie. At that point the forces
w ill In- united under the senior cuptain, and
a concentrated movement on tho settlers
will be made. The forces started from the
towns mentioned yesterday morning, and
will probably not arrive at Guthrie lfore
tn night or to-morrow morning.
I li. Settlers on the Itack Track.
Gcthbje, I. T. , March IT. - lbe president's
proclamation ordering settlers on the Cher
okee strip to vacate, is already having tho
desired effect and has already caused con
siderable of an exodus from the forbidden
territory. All day yesterday the trains
were loaded down with boomers leaving the
strip. Many poor people who flocked to the
Cherokee strip under the impression that it
was oien to settlement, have not the means
to return, and remain there until the troops
escort th m out.

tortures than those of which you see tbe
evidences in the face of a rheumatic or
neuralgic sufferer. The agonies arc tbe
consequence of not checking a rheumatic
or neuralgic attack at the outset. H lis
tener's Stomach Bitters has been found
by skillful medical practitioners to pos
sess not only remedial, but defensive efli

tendency to them is exhibited. Surely
this puissant but safe botanic medicine,
bearing, too, such high specific sanction,
Is better than the poisons often em.

blood is depurated thoroughly from the
rheumatic virus, and the nerves, slightly
impurged upon, saved from the ultimate
and direful throes by this benigb, saving
medicine, which likewise exhibits marked
efficacy for malaria, kidney complaint,
dyspepsia, constipation and liver com
