The son of a well known Cambridge
family was being given soma doctrinal
instruction with somewhat unsatisfac
tory results, one evening, when hia Irish
nurse appeared to put him to bed. Here
was an opening: "Tom," said his grand

dismayed, the old gentleman persisted:
