Rev. C. L. Morgn, pastor of the First
Congregational church of Moline, who
recently declined a call to Dubuque, has
receivel a call to the Church of the Re
deemer in Chicago. The call was extend
ed some time ago, but has been kept
quiet until it leaked out through one of
tbe church papers. Mr. Morgan has not
yet decided whether or not he will accept
the call, though he has been strong'y
u -Red M do so bv acme of the pastors of
other Ctijago churches. The Church of
tbe Redeemer i9 located about a half
mile north of Lincoln park and is a com
paratively new church, having been or
ganized only about five years. It num
bers about 160 members and has a very
large Sunday school. It is thought to
aSord a field of great promise, though to
accept ths call would, Mr. Morgan says,
be at a present personal sacrifice. Mr.
Morgan preached there Sun lay.
