March 7 The council met in regu
lar semi-monthly session at 8 p. m..
Mayor McConochie presiding and all the
aldermen present except Huesing ar.d
Frohboes. The minutes of !he last
meeting were read and approved. Offi
cers' reports for the month ef February
were read and ordered placed on file.
Aid. Corken moved that the claim of
Arthur Burrall, ia connection with the
sale of the Wideawake hose bouse, be re
ferred to the mayor and fire and light
committee, with power to act. Carried.
Aid. Knox, from the finance committee,
reported tu ordinance which was unani
mously adopted, allowing bills out of the
various funds as follows:

dinances, presented an ordinance amend
ing the ordinance relating to the round
bouse of the C , B. & Q R B. Co. by
allowing the liying of a second track. A
recess of five minutes was taken to ex
amine a profile and on being called to
order the ordinance was unanimously

nance for the improvement of certain
sections of East and Wes: Seventeenth.
Sixteenth. Fifteenth and Fourteenth
streets, by special taxation. Passed

directing the city collector to make re
port of delinquent special taxes to the
