QUARANTINE IS RAISED
State Veterinarian Keane has issued
a. proclamation raising the quarantine
which has been in force against one
half of Riverside county' and all of
Imperial county, and which was put
in force several months ago because
of the alleged presence of cattle ticks.
He states that the ticks have been en
tirely eradicated in this area. A pro
visional quarantine is in force for San
Diego and Orange counties, and now
cattle can be shipped from any of the
southern counties for any purpose at
all times of the year, after they have
been inspected and cert' fled to be free
from contagious and infectious dis
eases by the State Veterinarian or
any of his deputies. ,
IMPERIAL VALLEY BOOKLET.
The County Chamber of Commerce
bas received fropi the Sunset Maga
zine Homeseekers' Bureau a supply
of booklets on Imperial Valley, and
the secretaries of local chambers will
soon have copies for general distribu
tion. The matter was compiled by
Otis Tout, of the Calexico Chrouicle,
is concise In form and complete In

<;rs. The booklet is well-printed, has
colored cover and is altogether a cred
itable piece of .work. '
COUNTY ROAD EASEMENTS
The County has filed with the Coun
ty Rocorder easements for public high,
ways from J. W. Lindsay, N. C. Bus
well, C. D. Church, L.. K. Srack and
D. H. Coe. A rule nan been adopted
to place all easements for roadu on
the county recordH as soon as they
havo been received by the Hoard of
Supervisors.
