The Imperial Valley Milk Company is installing its new machinery in the creamery building at Brawley, and the plant will be ready for operation within a few daysi W. E. Booth has been appointed manager of the creamery. He has been engaged for several years in the creamery busi ness in the San Joaquin Valley. Weekly meetings of the directors will be ( held on Friday evenings in the office of the Brawley Town & Im provement Company. * ■»• -* Frank Beal and George J. Hollo way have been elected directors in Water Company No. 8, vice Earl Mil ler and H. P. (Jrlnim, resigned. An assessment of eighty cents pcjr share has been levied on the stock! of this company. MHchell has purchased two lots on Eighth street, Just east of the Mitchell Hotel. * * * A bridge Is being constructed across the lateral one mile north of the Mc- Klm ranch. CALEXICO. At the last meeting of the directors of the Calexico State Bank A. F. Andmde, H. T. Cory and R. H. Bur hans were elected members of the board of directors. Mr. Andrade was also elected vice president' of the bank. It is proposed to institute a lodge of Odd Fellows in Calexico on December 2. * * # The Calexlco Chronicle estimates that fully 2000 persons were attract ed to Calexico by the railroad open ing celebration. * W •» Mrs. John F.
