ORDINANCE NO.
Ordinances
I herebv announce myself a can
diclate for the office Justice of the
Peace for Precinct No. i, county
of Quay, subject to the will of the
people of said precinct.
En. F. SaxoN.
The board of county commission
ers was organized the first of the
week and have been continuously
in session ever since. . J. M. Hodg
es of district No. 2. was elected
chairman. We believe the judg
ment of Messrs. Darnell and 13at
son in this instance is correct, as
Mr. Hodges is a man whose busi
ness and political training have
neither been neglected. He was
among the ablest members of the
Tennessee legislature before com
ing to New Mexico. He stands
high in the estimation of our peo
ple as was evidenced by the fact
that he was nominated for this place
without his solicitation and did not
leave home for campaign purposes
after he was nominated. Messrs.
Darnell and Batson are as well,
good men for the place and with
the experience of J. M. Hodges
assure us a capable county government.
The election ol a justice of the
peace and a constable will be up
for consideration Monday. Don't
pass the matter by as a thing of
little consequence. Make the men
you desire for these offices feel good
by giving them a good vote. The
candidates out foi these places are
worthy men and are entitled to the
best vote we can give them. Mr.
Saxon and Mr. Ward are the men
to whom we refer we have heard
of no other candidates.
