DIVISION OPENED FROM
TUCUMCARI TO 1)1 RAN
Shop Force and Round House Men go
to Work With Force of 125 Men
TWENTY NEW LOCOMOTIVES
The division is now opened from
Tucumcari to Duran and twenty
six crews were put to work here in
the shops and roundhouse Monday
or 125 aien, including 23 families
This is a terminal division for 19
Southwestern engines off the main
and 10 off the Dawson and 7 off
the Rock Island, and means a pay
roll of trainmen here totalling near
ly two hundred.
II. H. White who took Lindsey's
place on Dec. 23rd is here and
with Supt. Hawkes, Paxson, Supt.
of Motive Power, and J. E. Mur
phy Traveling Train Master, were
interyiewed by our reporter and all
of them agree that within the next
sixty to ninety days Tucumcari's
railway force should be doubled,
and that the pay roll should reach
to the neighborhood ot $60,000.00.
So the outlook for Tucumcari is
bright even if the reported building
of the Choctaw never materializes.

Of Interest to People of this Community
There are perhaps more people today
suffering from heart burn, sour stomach
bad breath, nausea, belching, ai d other
irregularities arising from indigestion
than from auv other ailment.
In this regard the Elk Drug Store takes
pleasure in recommending to our readers
the well known remedy, ivouoi, ior oys

vegetable acids with natural digestants
and it contains the same tutces found in
the stomach of a healthy person. It i
undoubtedly the most effectixe, prompt
and satisfacterv remedy we know of for
itomach disorders.
Mr, Shelton, our popular druggist, has
sent us a letter from a prominent resident
of the state of Georgia, who tells his ex
