MONEY FOUND NOT
GUILTY OF MVRDEH
I East Las Vegas, N". M., Nov. 4. 1
j George P. Monev, formerly of
Las Vegas and in 1004 candidate
of the democratic party in this terri
tory for delegate to congress, was
acquitted Saturday by a jury at
Carrolton, Miss., of a charge of
murder found in an indictment by
a recent grand jury at that place.
The acquittal came on the first
ballot and at no time was there any
probability of sustaining the charge
as nearly as can be learned here,
was based on a killing which oc
curred many years ago, as the re
sult of a quarrel following a gross
insult offered to Mr. Money's
father. Mr. Money's friends here
are highly gratified at the outcome
of the trial.
