Morgan will have served ten years. Of the eight Oklahoma Representatives, only two, Ferns and Carter, have served as lone as Mr. Morean. William Hagan and wile nave moved to the Thad Green farm where they expect to spend the winter. Mrs. Hughes of Beaver spent part of last week with her daughter, Mrs. Hagan, who has been on the sick list but is better. He is the first to go from Sophia neighborhood, we, believe, or the first we have heard of. His twin brother, Loyd, thinks he will follow soon. He has his crop to see after first or he would have gone with Lee. And if not called in the draft before he gets that done he will then enter Stillwater school. Carl Nelson went to Beaver for a load of lumber Saturday with which he will build an addition to his house preparatory for his renter's comforts, as Carl expects to be otherwise en gaged next year, having registered the 12th. Robert Hudson brought out a load of coal for Plain View school Satur day. , - Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Palmer enter tained the young people and some of the older ones too, with a party Sat urday evening. Quite a good crowd in attendance and a good time re ported. Clarence Lindauer has been help ing his brother, Loyd, pulling broom corn the past week. Mrs. Lindauer has been visiting her mother-in-law, Mrs. R, D. Thomas, while Clarence worked there. There wasn't any preaching at Plain View Sunday. Owing to the mad weather Brother Davis didn't get out Quite a disappointment. Brother Helm and a visiting di vine (we didn't learn the name) are holding a scries of meetings at South Flats school house. Bro. Helm is a fine young man and a good talker for one so young. Come and hear him. Jolly Joe Michel, as he is known, was in the new draft. Wonder if he is raring to go over the sea and get old kaiser Bill's coat 7 We bet he is. for he has been very active in all thaf concerns winning the war, and now he has his inning there is bound to be something doing. Jim Adams bought the LaKemp hotel and fixtures Saturday. Eleven hundred dollars was the consideration for the building, the furniture being extra. Jim is surely going to be a town business man right. Several from this neighborhood at tended the Beaver County Free Fair. They reported a large crowd. Mr. Robison will worK at tne Mar ian farm the coming year. Irwin Young has rented Mrs. John son's farm. Frank Smith's spent Sunday at Roy Beck's. E. O. Huff has rented his farm and is going back to eastern Oklahoma to take charge of Mrs. Huff's father's farm, as all his boys are in tni u. a. service.
