t. This contest begins Jan. 13, 1914, and closes March 12,
1914, atop. m.
2. The Anderson Daily Intelligencer will publish from time to
time the standing of the contestants.
3. Any young lady or married woman is eligible to enter this

7. On March 12th, the closing day of this contest a committee
of three well known business or professional men of the city not in
terested in the contest will be appointed to count thc votes and award
the prizes. This assures every candidate that their interest? will be
well looked after by local men (the name? of the men appointed will
appear in the Anderson Intelligencer before thc close of the contest.)
8. In case of a tie vote at the end cf .the contest, the cash value
of the prize wiil be equally divided. No two candidates will be per
mitted to double up. If you drop out you lose all. Votes are abso
lutely not transferable.
9. Subscriptions may be taken to start any time.
10. You may take subscriptions from any place in the United
States or Canada without increase of the regular subscription rates.
Because you are a contestant in District No. t, or,No. 2, YOU are by
nb means limited to that district as a field of endeavor.
11. The votes scheduled will" remain exactly the same.through
out the. entire contest. Turn in your subscriptions: fhd we will give
special vote coupon which can be voted at am) time before the
close of the contest, except that no contestant will be allowed in any
one day to vote over 3,ooo ahead of the leader of the day before.
All ballots over and above must be held in Reserve. Starting with the
last week of the contest this rule will be withdrawn and the reserve
vote can bc voted at will.
12. AU books and records concerinng the contest will be thrown
open to the public immediately after the close of the contest. Everv
one gets a square deal and WE WANT THEM TO KNOW IT.
