A few facts about the c ollection
of the delinquent 1)011 tax may be0 of
interest at the present time. The
law provides that w~here any one has
faIled to paJy the 1)011 tax at the
proper time, ho is liable to imprison
mont or to fi-o dollars fino and costs.
The fine is remitted in the case of
those who pay now,. and thme costs
are as follows :Poll tax. $1.00;
penalty, 20 cents; trial justice's costs,
$3.00; constable's costs, $1.00.
Total $5.20-mileage additional.
There are no costs for printing or
for auditor or ,m:.murcr.
