News has readied here that Satur
day afternoon B. O. Fowl or, who lives
near Euoreo, was sot upon and beaten
fco unconsciousness by two negroes and
$;?.r>0 was taken from bins.
Later It was found that his house bad
been robbed and a suit of elothos was
missing. Tho c'.othiDg was aftewards
found.
Fowler did not recognize tho dc
groes. Thoy have not been arrested,
Fowler was unconscious for two
liours.

perance Workers, is in the city and un

ladies and children of the various

meeting will also be bold in the same
place at 8.150 P. M. Thursday, to which

It is proposed to organize the work
here and it is hoped that tho attend
ance will bo large.
Mrs. Herbert is an interesting talker
und a devoted Christian woman. She
should receive a cordial welcome in
Laurcns and the church should be filled
at tbo meotings.
