Misses Mira and l.uella. the pretty little daughters of Mr. M. A. Leaman, are visiting friends at Greenwood. Mrs. Sallie Campbell, who because chocked while at dinner sonic days ago and who was subsequently taken to the hospital at Chester, was relieved but she has been quite ill since with ulcerated sore throat. Prof, and Mrs. Glonn Parrott and children loft Saturday to visit Mrs. Parrott's people at Sally's. Aiken County. Misses Pearl West and Lizzie. Griftin, teachers, left last Wednesday foi their homes in Newherry and Miss Des Tortes left Saturday Tor Ridgeway, her home. Mrs. Lula Griffin and little daughter, of (!reenwood county have been with tier mother. Mrs. .lanie McSwain, the past week. Mr. Walter Dry SOU, who was shot in Atlanta some weeks ago. came over to Cross Hill last Saturday, lie is still quite feeble. Mrs. W. 10. Harl or Florida is with her daughter, Mrs. B. A. Wharton. We sure do have some blows! We have good stands of corn and cotton and they have been well worked to date.
