days for the farmers. The cotton crop
is being rapidly gathered and ginned.

Escaped Convict Caught.

our vigilent policeman arrested a ne
gro, Adam Managault, the past week.
This negro escaped from the state
farm three weeks ago and a reward of
$."><) was offered for him. He was in
for life, and ha dserved eleven years.
He has been working for Mr. Quince
Hollingsworth several days. Mr. Koon
has had Iiis eye on him and as soon as
he was satisfied he was the escaped
convict he "picked him up" and took
him back to the penitentiary.
