The superintendent is In receipt of
a commIun eat ion from the command
Ing general of the eastern department
stating that the war departiment's or
(idr for arns and equipment for the
eadcts has been received. The requi
sitions have been illled, and the eqiuip
muent Li expected in a very short while.
This news is considered ttiite favor
able, for it was feared that in thuis
period of increased activities the re
(quisitions might be delayed in their
transmission through the regtular mil
itary channels. It is also a relief to
know that the cadets are to be furn
ished the same equipment as is issued
to the soldiers of the regular army.
The cadets are all looking forward
anxiously to the arrival of the equip
ment, and there is no doubt but that. it
will add materially to the Interest and
enthusiasm in the study of military
tactics in the corps.
