Has been coining in freely during the

Jail Breaking.
We learn that on last Sunday after
noon four prisoners succeededI in hreak
nig out of Jail by wrenching out one of |
the window bars, with the lulp of a table
Who is to blame for this ? Was the
Jailor remiss in his duties, or were the
window bars too weak? The Court is
now ill session, and doubtless Judge
Grnhnni will' give this mutter his atten

oft repeated offence.
The Cotton Factory. fi
We learn that the committee appoint

stringency of the times; funring (and
very properly too) that a dauper might
be thrown upon the enterprise, in con?
scquenco of the depression existing in
business circles.
The Committee will hold a meeting
on the la?t Saturday in this month, the
25th inst., and it is hoped there will be
a full attendance.
Gin House Burned.
We regret to learn that Mr. Geo.

Mr. Elvin Buzzard, who was superin

to leap from an upper window to save
himself;
Several bales of cotton in the seed were
