t?u Particular attention is called to
the card of L. Sherfossc, Esq., General
Agent of the Security and Annuity Co.
of New York. Our experience with this
Company justifies the belief that it stands
only aslirst class, and the reports hinted
at arc more, attributable to jealousy than
reality. '

Announce to the public that they have
in store a line assortment of goods to suit

On Tuesday morning last, much to the

Institution received notice from Colum

a temporary injunction against the In-*

The Bank officers declined paying
unless proof of bis being the party stated,
and of the nmount (between 84000 and
?5000) being to Iiis credit at ? Yorkville,
was produced?they stated that a teler
gram from the Cashier at Yorkville would
be sufficient evidence. Holeft tbe Bnnk,

to do so. That evening at sundown tbo

On Friday afternoon at 5 o'eloek the

friend, or the long acquaintance were they
discovered. Courteous and affable, honest
and kind, he won o large circle of true
friends. In the word of a neighbor "His
was the pure gold, the dross of pretense
