received a telegram from Sheriff Wake

wanted and placed him in durance vile,
and wired Sheriff Wakefield that ho

of tho jails at Bisbeo or Tucson and in
some way procured a saw and had near
ly sawed his way to liberty when dis
covered by Officer Lewis. Ho now
wears a pair of shackles and is chained
to a ring in the floor of the jail, where
ho will bo kept until he is taken to
Tucson by tho Pima county sheriff, who
arrived on tho train this afternoop and
"will probably take his man back in the
morning.
Another Mexican, named Thomas
Arambolo, wanted in Tucnoii on a, charge

Lewis and confined in the city jail.

This company owns a vers, valuable
croup. oniine3 situated in Wan en
mining district, county of Cochise,
Arizona, lying immediately cast of and
adjoining the town of Bbbee, and ad
joining the property of the Copper
Queen Consolidated Mining company
gn the north. The latter company has
been in operation lor about twenty
years, and employs about 1,500 men
daily in the operation of its mammoth
mine and smelters, and as a result
has- produced coppar to over 34,000,000
pounds during the year 1808, and the
net proicee'ds of such production are
reported to have been over $2,000,000,
and it has been said by experienced
miners who have been under its em
ploy for years, that the Queen mine
now' has sufficient ore in sight to keep
it in constant operation, for the
next twenty years without further de
velopment. Is it not reasonable to believe that
the property of the Cochise company Is
fully as valuable, when it is within
such clodc- pioximity to such a, won
derful mme?
The blasts set off In tho underground
workings' 'of the Queen property can
easily be felt and heard at tho shaft of
our mine, and oftimea the concussion
has attracted marked attention.
The original owners of these valu
able mines are local business men, well
and favorably known in Bisbee and
surrounding vicinity, who are doing
their utmost to make thi3 enterprise a
success in every respect. The board of
directors are original owners, and aic
donating their services to the com
pany until such time as the mine will
pay dividends. They own the con
trolling interest in this property, and
as a protection to stockholder have
placed their entire interest in escrow
for a term of one year.
The stock books of our company aie
now open for subscriptions, and a lim
ited number of shares aie offered at
ten cents per share. No application
for less than 100 shares will be ac
cepted. The coppany reserve the light at
any time 0 advance the price of shares
without further notice, or to-reject any
application for stock at their discre
tion Every cent received from the &ale of
stock will bo expended toward the de
velopment o our property and the
erection of hoisting works, and all
other neoessary improvements, and to
make our enterprise a success in every
