The awful hint is thrown out by the
Mexican Herald that AdmirarDewev
j probably intends to approach Washing
ton on a gun boat the 4th of March next
and take the place Manila fashion.
This suggests the thought that he may
steam up the mighty river Kaw on the
4th of July and capture the Kansas
City convention. Col. Bryan should
keep his eyes on the Kaw. .
California experience was repeated
in Cripplo Creek, Colo., last week. A
miner coming off shift at the Independ
ence mine was found to have several
gold ore specimens secreted on his per
son, which he admitted having taken
out while at work in the mine. He was
arrested, bnt on trial was discharged,
the court holding that no value was
placed upon the ore stolen, and the wit
nesses for the defense were not able to
swear that the ore in evidence' was In
dependence ore. Mining & Scientific

The canaigre industry of the Salt
.River valley promises to be highly re
munerative, The product and ship
ments per nionth is now ilfteeu cars,
which will be increased to thirty cars.
Canaigre, or tannin plant, is indigenous
to Arizona and grows wild in the val
leys and canyons of- the territory. Its
.value is in the' tannic acid it carries.
The demand, which is rapidly increas
ing, is much m excess of the produc
tion. It' is one of the most profitable
products of the soil that can be culti-
iVated in Arizona. It grows and matures
during the winter months. Arizona

There is only one cure for Contagjoui
Blood Poison the disease which has'
completely baffled the doctors. They
are totally unable to cure it", and direct
their efforts toward bottling the poison
Nup in the blood and concealing it from

every trace of the taint.
I was afflicted with a tcrrlblo blood, disease.
which was In spots at first, but afterwards
spread an oyer my body.
These soon broke out into
sores, and It Is easy to
imagine the suffering I
endured. Before I be
came convinced that the
doctors could do no good.
I had spent a hundred
dollars, which was really
thrown away. 1 then
tried various patent
medicines, but they did
not reach .the disease.
Wnen I had nmsbed my
first bottle of S. 8. S. I
was greatly Improved
and waii delighted with
the result. The large red splotches on my
chest began to grow paler and smaller, and
before long disappeared entirely. I regained
my lost weight, became stronger, and mr ar
petlte greatly Improved. I was soon ent
well, and my skin as clear as a piece of glass.
