The republican and democrats
gathered together yesterday to listen
to the arguments in favor of republi
can doctrines and candidates made by
Col. S. M. McCowan, Hon. H. M. Willis,
and Col. Zabriskie.
The speakers were greeted by salutes
of shots fired on the approach of the
train' while the depot platform was
crowded with the people who met the
in the afternoon the orators spoke
from the library porch to the men who
were on night shift. The Coppoi
Queen bund collected the people by the
excellent pieces thoy played and at the
hour appointed marched to the hall.
The room was comfortably filled and
the speakers were well greeted. The '
Rev. Pritchard introduced Col. Mc
Cowan who spoke at some length on the
issue of the day. il. ai. Yilll9 wns
then Introduced, and he was followed
by Col. Zabrieskie.
My wife, Maggie Igo, deserted ni

out any cause, and went to Bisbee in
